Joseph Sugie obtained his Ph.D. in Bioengineering at University of California, San Diego where he focused on applying methods of quantitative biology to microcirculatory systems in mice. Transitioning to microbiology in his postdoctoral work, he adapted methods of automated image analysis to expedite the pace of discovery utilizing bacterial cytological profiling (BCP). Dr. Sugie is a Computational Biologist at Linnaeus Bioscience where he continues to develop systems to accelerate the high-throughput capability of BCP.
